On a preliminary observatory note, most journal posts come off as cries for attention and sympathy, so I am reallly going to try to avoid anything like that.

On to substance. I'm currently sitting here in baton rouge in my old starbucks, its nice to be in for a visit. Life changes so much doesn't it? For me, the changes have been good. Most of them I suppose shouldn't be called "changes", rather they should be deemed "consequences." Much of what I think has happened to me in the last few years has had more to do with my own choices and not a tremendous amount of it falling to chance or misfortune. I'm happy with that.

Certain caveats inevitably remain. First, I miss my mom. Who wouldn't? Second, I miss being younger. Not only because my mom was still around, but also because I had no idea how hard of a place the world can be sometimes. Of course, being older equips you to deal with the struggles of the world, but by no means does it give you a means to fix them. Though certain creatures of faith have remedied problems one by one.

That is the kind of being I would like to be.

I want to know A. if anyone's ever heard of it.

and B...well, well ok the theory behind such a device functions on the premise that everything oscillates at a particular frequency. And if this frequency can be found and intensified that the said object, tissue, whatever oscillating at that frequency in range will blow up or something.

Example: Opera lady sings crazy loud and hits the precise frequency of a glass and it blows up while you and I do not blow up even as we watch since we oscillate at a different frequency.

POINT BEING....my B. to this thing is what do you guys think of that idea? Anyone big into physics or science would be of great use in my curiousity.

Isn't it interesting how Christianity has become something identified with very un-Christ like things? Would Christ forget the weak and suffering, NO. Would Christ hurt others for selfish purposes, NO.

Christ was a liberal, lets be honest here. Helps the less fortunate, eternally forgiving... the world is a better place because his teachings survived regardless of what you think of the religion bearing his namesake. There are definitely some fucked up things in the religion.

Last night I stood out on a broken and abandoned bridge downtown, and I saw the past when I looked around me. The words "peace" and "anarchy" were scribbled inside of a circle and the lyrics to Imagine were written on the ground.

I asked myself if my forefathers ever imagined this world looking like this, the technological buzz of lights and cars streaming on the interstate.

And then I looked up above me. The same sky that's been there since humanity's first days.

When I was a child, I had no fear of girls. I saw them no differently from any guy, I think I knew if I thought they were pretty but I don't know if sexual attraction had set in yet.

I was 4 in Ms. Betty's daycare and Melissa promptly informed me one day that I was no longer the father of her babydoll.

And thats when I realized that girls had it out for me.

So, I'm in houma right now and...I really gotta say, how the hell did we do this? There is nothing in this town to do. I came to the realization that the sole point of this town is to serve as a little oil-field town. Thats why so many people here have jobs related to the oil field. And all the restaurants and the mall and the walmarts and the banks, thats all there to attempt to sustain the people who work in the oilfield and their families. We've been shafted by the rest of the country and simply used to get oil.

But guess what, it still sucks. I'm headed back to BR. How did I ever live here?
